Purpose
The purpose of this workshop is to support educators’ capacity to work constructively with diversity, inclusion, and equity by developing knowledge, awareness, and skills to work within and across difference, creating and sustaining an organizational culture where everyone can thrive. Perfect opportunity for employees at all levels from front-line workers to upper-level management.

- Developing increased Social Identity Awareness of Self and Others
- Explore the meaning of one’s own social identities and how those identities influence our experiences and interactions in our work
- Exploration and application of the following key concepts
- Unconscious Bias
- Microaggressions
- Micro affirmations
- Information on ways to decrease bias and Microaggressions, and amplify Micro affirmations in the workplace

I earned my associates degrees in Speech Communication and Liberal Studies. My Bachelors is in Communication Studies. Currently, I am pursuing my Masters in Speech Communication.
In the past I have worked as a stand-up comedian, poet, Customer Service Director for Gold Gym corporate, acting coach, ghostwriter. My experiences in these jobs come with me into the classroom and make for some pretty interesting and effective teaching days.
As a member of the Black Light team, I use my experiences and passions to help clients develop their proverbial, and sometimes literal voices. Communication is key and you may even be surprised at the mighty power that effective communication strategies and skills wield. I am excited to work with you.
