As scholars, we study and research a wide array of communication areas as well as the effects across many situations.

As educators, our team intentionally designs, as well as implements effective and dynamic lessons for middle/high school teachers and college professors.

As mentors, we employ the same tactics that we use with our clients by being a sounding board for novice, intermediate and veteran educators, visual artists, performing artists, entrepreneurs. After careful assessment, we identify strengths and areas in need of improvement for educators. After which, we design a communication plan to help meet your goals. For example, if you are Motivational Speaker, we listen to some of your work and discuss with you what you have done and with whom you have  worked or desire to work with. We will build a professional Press Kit for you, create and distribute Press Releases, coordinate photo shoots and help you strengthen your voice and presence in your industry. 

Meet our team of Communicators.

I earned my associates degrees in Speech Communication and Liberal Studies. My Bachelors is in Communication Studies. Currently, I am pursuing my Masters in Speech Communication.

A little background: I was a confused kid with a lot of noise in my head. The day I walked into my first Argumentation & Debate course in college, a lifetime of confusion disappeared. I KNEW I had to change my major to Comm and I HAD to work in Comm. My life and its trajectory changed. I was a fierce competitor on my Speech & Debate team as well as assistant team coach. I co-taught with my professors in Debate, Interpersonal Communication and Public Speaking.

Now, I am a high school Public Speaking, Speech & Debate and College Planning teacher. I coach a Speech & Debate team and Academic Competition team (UIL). I have also taught Journalism. Communication is key to all aspects of life and is EVERYTHING to mine. 

In the past I have worked as a stand-up comedian, poet, Customer Service Director for Gold Gym corporate, acting coach, ghostwriter. My experiences in these jobs come with me into the classroom and make for some pretty interesting and effective teaching days. 

As a member of the Black Light team, I use my experiences and passions to help clients develop their proverbial, and  sometimes literal voices. Communication is key and you may even be surprised at the mighty power that effective communication strategies and skills wield. I am excited to work with you.
